Lebanon on Thursday registered 2,089 new coronavirus cases with 7 related fatalities, Health Ministry announced.
In its daily report, the ministry said 2,055 new infections were recorded among local residents, while the other 34 cases were imported, raising the total infections nationwide since February 21 to 89,186.
14,465 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 944 at Beirut International Airport, according to the report.
Seven new fatalities were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the nationwide death toll to 683, the ministry added.
788 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, including 271 at the ICU rooms, the report added, noting that the number of recoveries reached 47,667.
