Iranian Foreign Minister said on Sunday that there is no time for diplomatic solutions following the US strikes on the Islamic Republic.
In a press conference in Istanbul, Araghchi said the attack was “a violation of international law and Security Council Resolution 2231.”
US President Donald Trump has not only betrayed Iran, but also deceived his own nation, the top Iranian diplomat said, adding that Trump “gave in to the demands of a criminal,” referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Everyone should know that we pursued diplomacy, but the US and the Zionist regime launched aggressive attacks on Iran and its people, and we will use all our capabilities to defend ourselves.”

“For now, there’s no time for diplomatic solutions. When the aggression against Iran stops, we can talk about how to continue the diplomatic path.”
He stated that the US “is not diplomatic and only understands the language of force and threats. They have shown that they do not respect the international charter and international law and do not adhere to any of them,” noting: “The NPT has failed to protect us.”
Araghchi said he will head to Moscow to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Russia is a friend of Iran and we have a strategic partnership with it.”
Also on Sunday, the top Iranian diplomat said the US decided to blow up diplomacy, wondering: “How can Iran return to something it never left?” referring to negotiation table.
Last week, we were in negotiations with the US when Israel decided to blow up that diplomacy.
This week, we held talks with the E3/EU when the US decided to blow up that diplomacy.
