U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday met in the occupied Palestinian territories with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign minister of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, during his last visit to the Middle East.
Pompeo arrived in the occupied Palestine Wednesday afternoon for the last visit as the chief diplomat of the U.S. President Donald Trump administration, which is completely pro-Israeli.
Upon arrival, Pompeo held a press conference with Netanyahu and Al Zayani who had arrived hours earlier.
Bahrain is one of three Arab states that have recently agreed under U.S.-brokered pacts to normalize relations with the Israeli enemy in a blatant betrayal of the Arab Umma and its rights.
During the press conference Pompeo praised the normalization deals between the two countries, which he alleged have been welcomed around the world.
For his part, Bahrain’s foreign minister called on Israelis and Palestinians to come to a negotiating table in order to “find a solution to the years’ long conflict”.
Zayani also met with the Israeli FM Gabi Ashkenazi who praised the Bahraini diplomat’s visit, announcing mutual visa facilitation between the two sides.
