The US has approved the sale of precision-guided weapons to the Zionist entity worth $735 million, the Washington Post reported on Monday, citing sources in the US Congress.
According to the daily, the Congress was officially notified of the proposed sale on 5 May, several days before the Israeli aggression on Gaza started following days of unrest in Al-Quds when several Palestinian families were forced to leave their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah district in the holy city.
The proposed sale is of Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMS) that transform so-called “dumb” bombs into precision-guided missiles.
The Zionist entity has purchased JDAMS before, claiming their choice by saying that precision-guided Gaza airstrikes help them to avoid deaths among civilians.
The Israeli aggression on Gaza, which started eight days ago, has killed so far 197 Palestinians, including 58 children and 34 women. At least 1,300 others have been injured.
