Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, MP Hassan Fadlallah, confirmed that what happened in Khalde is a ‘major aggression’ and has ‘major repercussions’ unless the armed gangs are being stopped.
In comments to Al-Manar TV, Fadlallah offered condolences to the families of martyrs who perished in Khalde ambush that was set by outlawed gangs.
Addressing the vigilant supporters, Fadlallah said Hezbollah will not renounce this issue, saying it will serve as a starting point towards putting an end to these gangs.
The MP hailed the responsible national position and specifically Hezbollah’s behavior towards internal issues, calling on competent authorities to assume its responsibilities.
“Hezbollah’s position today is one of the major national positions, the party acted with the highest levels of national responsibility, along with its supporters as a whole,” Fadlallah said.
“Hezbollah is capable of eradicating these criminal gangs,” he said, recalling that when the Lebanese regions were targeted by car bombs by ISIS and other terrorist groups, Hezbollah went up the mountains and ended the presence of those gangs.
MP Fadlallah stressed that the political forces in the region and state institutions must dismantle these gangs from the roads, and arrest them.
Fadlallah indicated that Hezbollah supporters and the majority of the Lebanese no longer trust official investigations as a result of previous experiences.
