A summit was taking place in Cairo on Thursday between Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, with the stated aim of discussing the latest Palestinian developments.
The Egyptian presidency said, in a statement, that Al-Sisi confirmed support to the Palestinian cause, underlining the ceasefire in Gaza and the improvement of the Gazans’ socio-economic conditions.
It also highlighted Egypt’s endorsement of the Palestinian Authority’s efforts in Gaza and the tendency to engage in the ‘peace’ talks with the Israeli enemy again.
