The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Thursday its daily report in which it announced 1121 new coronavirus cases, 1085 of them for locals and 36 among the arrivals, raising total to 604409.
The report added that 16232 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 556294.
According to the report, 9 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 8070.
Meanwhile, the health minister Hamad Hasan concluded an agreement with the French Development Agency which will devote 1200,000 euros to fund many of the ministry’s projects.
Dr. Hasan also signed a contract with MVC company which will provide a digital system to the ministry that can track the medical drug sale in Lebanon. This system will guarantee a fair sale of the subsidized medical drugs to the citizens.
Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut gradually.
