Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei’s representative, Sheikh Mohammad Hasan Akhtari, stressed on Wednesday that Iran is ready to help Lebanon in confronting the ongoing crisis.

Sheikh Akhtari clarified that, since the Islamic Revolution victory, Iran has repeated;y announced readiness to cooperate with Lebanon in the various technical, scientific and educational domains.

His eminence also expressed hopes that Lebanon engages in this cooperation, noting that Tehran has a long experience with the US siege and knows its repercussions.

Sheikh Akhtari made these remarks after offering condolences on the demise of the head of the Supreme Shia Council in Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan.

Sheikh Akhtari indicated that he had known Sheikh Qabalan for 50 years, hailing his religious contributions and bold stances.
