President Michel Aoun on Thursday chaired a meeting at Baabda palace for the Lebanese delegation tasked with the indirect talks over the southern maritime borders.

President Aoun on Wednesday had voiced Lebanon’s objection to recent signing of gas and oil exploration evaluation contracts with an American company, stressing that such move contradicts the path of indirect negotiations.

The President had also tackled with Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, and Foreign Affairs Minister, Abdullah Bou Habib, at Baabda Palace the developments in light of the Zionist move in the disputed maritime zones.
