President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, condemned the assassination attempt against Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhemi, by targeting his house with a missile attack.

The President considered that this attempt targets not only the person of PM Al-Kadhemi, but also the stability and security in Iraq and the efforts made to strengthen Iraqi national unity, activate national economy, and provide a comfortable life for the brotherly Iraqi people.

Iraq’s military said Sunday Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi survived an assassination attempt after a drone laden with explosives targeted his residence in the capital, Baghdad.
