Twelve armed groups operating in Syria declared on Monday that they frozen the talks relating to Astana negotiations with the Syrian government.
“We freeze all talks related to Astana negotiations with the Syrian government or any discussions relevant to a ceasefire,” the groups, which included Jaish al-Islam, Soqoor Al-Sham, Failaq Al-Rahman and Failaq Al-Sham, said in a joint statement.
The armed groups’ statement came in response to what they called “huge violations” by the government of the ceasefire agreement that went into effect several days ago.
