The Lebanese President Michel Aoun received a felicitation letter from his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad on Resistance and Liberation Day, which falls on May 25.
In his letter, President Assad said that the victory achieved 22 years ago would remain an honorable experience because it restored rights and overthrew the occupation conspiracies.
President Assad added that the victory confirmed the propriety of the resistance path since it comprises a natural right for any people whose sovereignty gets violated.
President Assad concluded his letter by hailing the martyrs who sacrificed their souls for the sake of achieving the victory.
On May 25, 2000, the israeli occupation army completed its withdrawal from most of the Lebanese territories, except Shebaa Farms and KfarShuba Hills, due to the heavy losses inflicted upon it from the Resistance strikes.
