Caretaker Minister of Energy, Walid Fayyad, confirmed, in an interview with Radio Lebanon, that the border negotiations led by President Michel Aoun are making remarkable progress with regard to the proposed solution, represented by Lebanon’s will to preserve all its rights to extract oil from the Qana field and preserve the maritime field.
“I think that the issue, in terms of its technical details and negotiations, is coming to an end, and the timing of reaching the final solution remains subject to some political conditions by both parties,” Fayyad went on.
He also expressed his hope for the formation of a government with full powers to meet and take basic decisions.
