Israeli warplanes attack targets inside the Gaza Strip following the firing of retaliatory rockets from the direction of the coastal strip over the Zionist attacks on Palestinians inside the al-Aqsa Mosque’s compound in the occupied city of al-Quds (Jerusalem).
The Zionist sporadic raids targeted separate locations in the Gaza Strip, and bombed resistance targets south and east of Gaza City, Al-Manar correspondent in Gaza reported.
Palestinian sources said the occupation warplanes targeted agricultural land east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood with 3 missiles, and also launched a raid on the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip. The raids also targeted sites in the center of Gaza City.
In a similar development, 3 mortar shells fired from Lebanon landed in an open area in the Zionist settlement of Metulla, according to the Israeli media.
Rocket sirens blared throughout northern occupied Palestine on Thursday as the Zionist occupation army said the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted multiple rockets fired from Lebanon.
Around 20 rockets hit Zionist settlements in Western Galilee, injuring three settlers and causing vast fires in addition to a considerable damage.
Israeli security cabinet has started its session aimed at discussing choices of response to Thursday’s missile fire from Lebanon described by Zionist media as unparalleled since 2006 war.
Meanwhile, Zionist media reported that the Israelis were hysterically entering shelters in the South and the North without the command’s orders.
Politically, the US President Joe Biden said that his administration would support any Israeli decision to respond to the missile fire.
In turn, the joint chamber of the Palestinian resistance factions affirmed the readiness of the resistance to confront and respond with all force to any aggression.
“In light of the enemy’s threats to our resistance and our people in Gaza, we affirm the readiness of the resistance to confront and respond with all force to any aggression and to defend our people in all places of their presence,” the Joint Chamber said in a statement Thursday.
“The criminal enemy must stop its barbaric aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and worshipers in it, and it must stop the farce of exporting its internal crises towards our people and our sanctities,” the statement added.
Israeli Prime Minister office said that Benjamin Netanyahu was being updated on the situation and will hold a situation assessment with the heads of the defense establishment.
On the Lebanese side, the southerners continued their daily routine as the Army patrolled the area and started a joint investigation into the missile fire withe the UNIFIL troops.
