Millions of free people across the world are taking part in International Quds Day rallies to demonstrate their solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and denounce Israeli atrocities in the occupied territories.
Since the early hours of dawn, Palestine has been marking its holy day with fervor and devotion. Thousands of worshippers have flocked to the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the dawn prayer, and tens of thousands more have gathered to perform the fourth Friday prayer of the blessed month of Ramadan, despite the onerous restrictions imposed by the occupying forces and the presence of heavily-armed soldiers.
The commemoration of Jerusalem Day in the Gaza Strip promises to be a remarkable event this year, featuring speeches by the head of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi – the first sitting Iranian President to address the Palestinian people. The speeches are a testament to the solidarity and commitment of the international community to the cause of Palestine, and an acknowledgement of the ongoing struggle of the Palestinian people against the atrocities perpetrated by the occupying forces.
In Iran, the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council (IPCC) organized the rallies, commencing at 10 a.m. local time (0630 GMT) on Friday.
Participants from diverse backgrounds are converging to the iconic Enqelab (revolution) Square to spotlight the dire circumstances of the Palestinians and denounce the intensified Israeli atrocities, particularly since the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan this year.
Ten assigned routes throughout Tehran have been allocated for the demonstrations.

Every year on the last Friday of Ramadan, rallies are held worldwide to show support for the Palestinian people’s resistance against ‘Israel’ and their struggle to free their territories, which have been occupied for decades.
It is clear year after year that the revival of International Quds Day, initiated more than 40 years ago by Imam Khomeini, ensures that these fronts are an integral and authentic part of the great battle our nation and people are fighting to liberate Jerusalem and all of Palestine. It is a reminder of the ongoing struggle against oppression and injustice, and an affirmation of the unbreakable spirit and determination of the human spirit.
With widespread popular participation and in honor of International Quds Day, the “West Bank Shield of Al-Quds” event commenced in Syria, attracting a diverse array of people from all walks of life, united in their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. The event is taking place in the Syrian capital of Damascus, as well as in the Yarmouk camp in Damascus to commemorate the International Quds Day.
In a resounding display of solidarity and unity in Yemen, millions took to the streets of Sanaa, as well as various other provinces, in response to the indelible call of Imam Khomeini to mark the International Quds Day.
In Bahrain, mass demonstrations took place after Friday prayers in Diraz, west of Manama, to commemorate International Quds Day and condemn the normalization policy adopted by the regime.

Lebanon marked Al-Quds Day with rallies and a central ceremony in Beirut today at 16:00 (Beirut Time). Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah delivered a speech during the ceremony, vowing that Muslims and Christians as well as Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine are not left behind.
In Turkey, too, people marked Al-Quds Day with a symbolic gathering in Istanbul, holding Palestine’s flags and banners in support of Al-Quds cause.
Also Iraq marked the occasion with similar rallies and ceremonies, where political figures vowed support to the Palestinian cause.
On Thursday, the annual “Al-Quds Tribune” event, which took place on the eve of the anniversary, featured speeches by leaders from various factions and countries of the resistance axis, highlighting the importance of the occasion and reiterating their commitment to the liberation of Al-Quds and all of Palestine.
The axis of resistance, which includes countries, peoples, and resistance movements, continues to lead this fight.
On Thursday, several countries, including Iran, Yemen, and Iraq, organized marine rallies to commemorate this momentous occasion and reaffirm their solidarity with the people of Palestine.
