Senior members of the Israeli occupation military’s Spokesperson’s Unit have resigned, including high-ranking spokesperson Daniel Hagari, Israeli media reported on Sunday.
“The second-in-command in Daniel Hagari’s team, Moran Katz, along with many high-ranking officials have submitted their resignations in light of the Gaza conflict,” Israeli Channel 14 reported.
“The retiring officials also include Gen. Richard Heshit, the Israeli army’s spokesperson for foreign media affairs,” the Israeli channel added.

The report noted that Hagari had been appointed as the spokesperson for the Israeli occupation military without having previously held any role in the Unit.
Israeli media has highlighted in recent months deep-seated disputes between the government and the army regarding the government’s management of the war and its post-war strategy in Gaza.
Last month, Israeli reports revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s orders to prepare for a ground invasion in the Gazan city of Rafah had caused significant disagreements between him and Israeli military officials.
Hagari has been known to promote lies on Al-Shifa Hospital alleged Hamas tunnel as well as many other allegations during the five-month deadly war on Gaza.
