Yemen’s armed forces have targeted the US aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Red Sea. This attack comes after deadly overnight aggression by America on the Arab country.
According to Yemeni military spokesman Brigade General Yehya Saree, the joint military operation was carried out with a number of winged and ballistic missiles, resulting in an accurate and direct hit on the American aircraft carrier. Saree stated that this response was necessary due to the US and UK’s airstrikes on targets in Yemen, which he labeled as a violation of international laws and a war crime targeting civilians.
Saree made it clear that Yemen will not hesitate to respond to any new aggression on its territories, promising to target all hostile American and British vessels in the Red and Arabian seas. This vow was echoed by Yemeni leader Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, who pledged to escalate military operations in support of Palestinians.
In a show of solidarity with the Palestinian cause, the streets of Sana’a were flooded with Yemeni citizens carrying flags and signs condemning the actions of the US and Israel. Similar rallies were held in other governorates across Yemen, with participants applauding the recent strike on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.
