Among the casualties were civilians in the al-Salam Street area and the al-Tahlia area, where the IOF shelled with no regard for innocent lives. A school sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Nuseirat refugee camp was also struck, resulting in further injuries. The Palestinian Civil Defense reported the destruction of residential buildings in various locations, compounding the already dire situation in Gaza.

As ‘Israel’ escalates its aggression, Palestinians in Gaza find themselves confined to ever-smaller portions of the Strip, with their living space shrinking drastically.

The United Nations estimates that these directives have affected 213,000 people, which means, according to the WSJ, that Gaza’s 2.2 million residents are now mostly restricted to a region of around 15 square miles, less than Manhattan’s footprint.
The diminishing space for Palestinians to take asylum is raising concerns about disease outbreaks and deteriorating living conditions in the few places where they may find safety, if any.
