The Lebanese cabinet held on Thursday a regular session at Baabda Palace to discuss an agenda full of items pertaining to the economic issues in the country.
PM Nawaf Salam announced after the session, chaired by President Joseph Aoun, that the 2025 state budget has been issued in a decree in order to avoid the bureaucratic procrastination.
Salam added that the finance minister Yassin Jaber has been tasked with drafting a ministerial law that reconsiders the taxes which may affect the purchase power of the citizens in order to be included in 2026 state budget.
The information minister Paul Morcos also said that the cabinet approved a draft law that exempts those affected by the Israeli aggression from paying certain taxes.
