Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi declared that Tehran will not engage in direct negotiations with the United States unless Washington guarantees a dialogue free from intimidation. This announcement comes on the heels of a significant diplomatic encounter, during which Anwar Gargash, the Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, delivered a letter from US President Donald Trump to Iranian officials in a meeting held in Tehran.

Araqchi emphasized Iran’s readiness to discuss matters under the guiding principles of “honor, wisdom, and expediency,” but underscored that any negotiations must be devoid of threats.
Iran’s Leader, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, addressed the UAE delegation during their visit, characterizing Trump’s overture for negotiations as an attempt to “deceive the world public opinion.” Imam Khamenei also issued a stark warning, stating that should the US and its allies consider military action against Iran, they would face definitive retaliation and emerge as the ultimate losers.
As diplomatic relations continue to strain, Tehran’s position remains clear: negotiations can only proceed on their terms, ensuring a respectful and threat-free environment.
