Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc and member of the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Moussawi, considered that the statements of Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, in which he accused Hezbollah of evading from the ceasefire agreement, constitute “an open certificate of innocence” for the Israeli enemy to continue its crimes.
In a statement published by Hezbollah’s Media Relations, MP Al-Moussawi pointed out that “this is not the first time that Rajji throws accusations and promotes slander against Hezbollah, while the enemy continues its aggression against Lebanon and the Lebanese.
“The enemy is escalating its crimes and daily violations of sovereignty and killing the Lebanese in a continuous and blatant violation of UN Resolution 1701 and the executive procedures paper emanating from it.”
“We had hoped that the Lebanese Foreign Minister would carry out the minimum of his national duties and responsibilities in face of the enemy’s crimes, by denouncing them, presenting them to the international community, and demanding that it carry out its duty by imposing on the enemy the implementation of the ceasefire agreement. However, he went too far in his fabrications to accuse Hezbollah of evading the ceasefire in a very dangerous stance that turns against national principles and government policies and gives the enemy justification for its attacks and an open certificate of innocence to continue its crimes,” MP Al-Moussawi said.
MP Al-Moussawi stressed that Hezbollah “is committed to the same commitments made by the Lebanese government to the requirements of Resolution 1701 and the executive procedures paper, and that one of the most basic duties of the Minister of Foreign Affairs is to abide by the directives of the President of the Republic and the policies of the government, which must take the initiative to correct this minister’s statements, as they distort the facts and harm the national interest.”
