Spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry, Esmail Baqaei, firmly condemned on Friday the Israeli aggression which targeted a residential area in Beirut’s Dahiyeh.
Baqaei reflected the world’s disgust toward the Israeli occupation, genocide and violation of ceasefire.
The Israeli aggression on Beirut’s Dahiyeh is an assault on Lebanon’s sovereignty and integrity, according to the Iranian diplomat who urged the United Nations and the ceasefire sponsor states to prevent further Zionist violations.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman added: “The pretexts presented by the Zionist entity to justify its aggression against Lebanon are completely unjustified and baseless. The international community must take a decisive action to confront the ongoing chaos perpetrated by the occupying entity in the region—from Gaza to Lebanon and Syria—and the growing threats it poses to international peace and security.”
Israeli war jets launched on Friday an attack on a residential building in the Jamous-Hadat area of Beirut’s southern suburbs. This marks the first such assault on the region since the cessation of Israel’s large-scale aggression on Lebanon on November 27, 2024.
