The National and Islamic Forces in Palestine announced today that Monday, April 7, 2025, will be a full general strike across all of Palestine, with the participation of international supporters and advocates for justice, in protest against the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.
In a statement issued today, the forces called for the success of the global strike, emphasizing the need to raise the voice of resistance and highlight the horrific massacres and crimes committed by Israeli forces. These include the killing of civilians, particularly children and women, and the widespread destruction aimed at displacing Palestinians from their homes.
The statement stressed the importance of uniting local and international efforts to end the Israeli aggression and to continue demanding accountability for the violations of international law and the rights of Palestinians.
Meanwhile, massive protests were organized in many world cities to affirm support to Gaza and the Palestinian cause.
Morocco
Tens of thousands of Moroccans on Sunday protested latest Israeli offensive in Gaza, putting anger toward U.S. President Donald Trump near the center of their grievances.
Demonstrators denounced Israel, the United States and their own government. Some stepped on Israeli flags, held banners showing slain Hamas leaders and waved posters juxtaposing Trump alongside displaced Palestinians fleeing their homes.
Organizers condemned Israel’s ongoing military operation in Gaza. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed since Israel renewed its air and ground war last month, aimed at pressuring Hamas to release remaining hostages.
Such protests have erupted across the Middle East and North Africa, where leaders typically worry about demonstrations undermining domestic stability. In countries that have historically aligned with the U.S., anti-Trump backlash has emerged as a theme. Demonstrators in Rabat on Sunday condemned his proposal to displace millions of Palestinians to make way for the redevelopment of Gaza. as well as the U.S. efforts to pursue pro-Palestinian activists.
The United States
Thousands of people from across the United States gathered in Washington, DC, on Saturday to demand an end to Israel’s brutal assault on Gaza and the Trump administration’s intensifying crackdown on pro-Palestinian students and activists, Anadolu Agency reports.
The rally dew support from more than 300 organizations and saw demonstrators convene at the intersection of 3rd Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Participants then marched to key sites, including the headquarters of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), calling for the release of detained pro-Palestinian students and academics such as Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil and Turkish student Rumeysa Ozturk.
The protest was co-sponsored by several advocacy groups, including the Palestinian Youth Movement, The People’s Forum, Jewish Voice for Peace and the ANSWER Coalition.
Jordan
Massive protests in Jordan also denounced the classification of Hamas resistance movement as terrorist, affirming allegiance to Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas military wing.
