Iran affirmed on Monday inalienable right to enjoy nuclear energy and enrich uranium for peaceful purposes, as it deplored inconsistent messages coming from the US.
In a press conference Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baghaei dismissed the US president’s recent comments about the need for the full dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear program.
He stated that Iran’s stances are unchanging within the principled framework based on which it has entered indirect negotiations with the US.
“What is clear is that Iran’s principled stances on the peaceful use of nuclear energy are (its) legitimate rights,” the spokesman underlined, adding, “It is Iran’s right to enjoy membership in the Non-Proliferation Treaty and the right to enrichment.”

Baghaei refuted all accusations regarding Iranian involvement in Yemeni activities, emphasizing that the allegations were groundless and part of an effort to shift the focus away from the true issue at hand—the ongoing genocide in Gaza and Palestine.
