Hamas’s armed wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, kept its “Gates of Hell” open for Israeli soldiers in Gaza, as the occupation army admitted on Saturday to the injury of at least 9 soldiers in Shujaiya.
Nine IDF soldiers, including two senior officers, were “lightly” wounded by an explosive device in Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood overnight, the occupation military, which frequently downplays casualties, announced on Saturday.
The troops of the Jerusalem Brigade were carrying out scans in Shejaiya when the blast went off, The Times of Israel reported, citing the Israeli army’s statement.
Among the wounded are the commander of the Jerusalem Brigade’s 6310th Battalion and the deputy commander of the 252nd Division, it added.
“Gates Of Hell”
Earlier on Friday, Al-Qassam Brigades released footage of a complex ambush targeting Israeli forces in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, as part of the ongoing “Gates of Hell” operations.

The attack, “Ambush number 2” which occurred on May 7, saw Hamas fighters targeting Israeli soldiers with anti-armor shells before luring them into a “killing zone” where explosive devices were detonated.
The operation resulted in casualties among the Israeli occupation forces, while Al-Qassam fighters retreated into tunnels. Aerial footage and commentary from a field commander further detail the event.
Earlier on Thursday, Al-Qassam announced that its fighters engaged in fierce clashes at zero distance with the Israeli enemy soldiers in Rafah, inflicting losses upon the occupation forces.
