Leading the government of a country facing Israeli attacks as well as occupation of certain positions, unprecedented economic crisis and numerous political challenges, the Lebanese prime minister Nawaf Salam found it suitable to make disputable remarks about the Iranian revolution, resistance disarmament, and peace with the Zionist enemy.

Salam insisted on his remarks, he made during an interview with an anti-Resistance TV Channel, and repeated them during the “Arab Media Forum” in Dubai.
Salam claimed that the resistance weaponry has undermined the state authority, disregarding the fact that it has protected and liberated Lebanon from the Zionist enemy.
Salam called for establishing peace with the enemy attacking Lebanon on a daily basis. Instead of highlighting the Zionist violations, Salam underlined that the “era of exporting the Iranian revolution” is over, which made the US deputy envoy Morgan Ortagus like his remarks.
Seeking the US support made Salam move away from the framework of President Joseph Aoun who shows keenness on the national interest.
