Hezbollah reiterated call on Thursday to check credibility of information attributed to the party’s so-called “sources,” stressing that the Lebanese resistance group publicly declares its clear stances.
Ina statement, Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office affirmed that the party “does not rely on what is referred to as a “source in Hezbollah,” “official source,” or any similar term to convey its political positions.”
It said that “any information published under such labels is entirely false and baseless, and cannot be relied upon. Consequently, we are in no way concerned with anything said outside the framework of our clear and publicly declared positions.”
Hezbollah further confirmed that reports based on such titles “in no way reflects the views or stance of Hezbollah, and rather, they are merely personal interpretations and analyses—or possibly fabricated sources with politically motivated agendas.”
In this context, the Media Relations Office urged all media outlets, journalists, and analysts to “exercise the highest levels of accuracy, professionalism, and objectivity, and to engage exclusively with statements and information issued by official and authorized Hezbollah bodies.”
It called on media outlets to refrain from attributing any information to Hezbollah under the label of “sources” and to treat such information as unauthenticated and not representative of the party.
“We urge all media outlets, especially during these sensitive and critical times, to consult the authorized party within Hezbollah for accurate positions and perspectives regarding current events and developments,” the statement concluded.
