At least 16 civilians were killed in bombing raids by the US-led coalition near the ISIL group’s Syrian bastion Raqqa, a monitor said on Wednesday.

The UK-based opposing Syrian Observatory said five young siblings were among the dead in the strikes on the village of Al-Baruda, about 15 kilometers (10 miles) west of Raqqa city.
