Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that Iran is building sites to produce precision-guided missiles in Syria and Lebanon, with the aim of using them against the Zionist entity.
At the start of a meeting in Al-Quds with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Netanyahu accused Iran of turning Syria into a “base of military entrenchment as part of its declared goal to eradicate Israel.”
“It is also building sites to produce precision-guided missiles towards that end, in both Syria and in Lebanon. This is something Israel cannot accept. This is something the U.N. should not accept,” Netanyahu said.
Earlier last week, Netanyahu, said Iran’s growing role in Syria poses a threat to the Zionist entity, as he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We cannot forget for a single minute that Iran threatens every day to annihilate Israel,” Netanyahu said, adding: “Iran is already well on its way to controlling Iraq, Yemen and to a large extent is already in practice in control of Lebanon.”
