Lebanese Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal took part in the 62nd Munich Security Conference in which he held high-level meetings.

The conference, held in Germany from February 13 to 15, 2026, brought together heads of state, ministers, diplomats, security officials and army chiefs to discuss international peace, defense cooperation, conflict resolution and emerging security technologies.

On the sidelines, General Haykal attended a meeting of participating army chiefs and held bilateral talks with senior military and political officials, including NATO representatives and defense chiefs from Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands and Pakistan.

Discussions focused on developments in Lebanon and the region, and on strengthening support for the Lebanese Armed Forces amid ongoing security challenges and continued Israeli violations of the cessation of hostilities agreement.
