In a pointed response to US President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf issued a stern warning to Washington, stressing that “all options remain on the table.”
Speaking at a Wednesday gathering in Tehran with economic activists, members of the Guild Chamber, and a group of merchants, Qalibaf outlined Iran’s dual approach: readiness for dignified diplomacy alongside a defensive posture capable of making any aggressor regret their actions.
He emphasized that Tehran would engage constructively at the negotiating table if Washington chooses a path of diplomacy that respects Iran’s national dignity and mutual interests.
However, the top parliamentarian issued a stark caution against repeating past mistakes. He warned that any attempts to deceive, lie, or launch attacks during negotiations—whether through flawed analyses or outright aggression—would trigger a decisive response from the Iranian nation and its defense forces.
Qalibaf concluded with a direct warning that such provocations would lead the US to experience the “hard punch” of the Iranian people and their military.
