Iran has confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz will only be open under specific conditions, while warning of navigation restrictions as long as the blockade continues.
Reza Talaei, spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Defense, announced that the Strait will only be accessible if a ceasefire is in place and certain conditions are met. He further emphasized that although the Strait remains open, ships affiliated with hostile powers are not permitted to pass through.
Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused US President Donald Trump of making seven false claims within a single hour. In response to Trump’s remarks, Ghalibaf stated, “They didn’t achieve victory in the war with these lies, and they certainly won’t achieve any progress in negotiations.”
He added, “As long as the blockade continues, the Strait of Hormuz will not remain open. The Strait of Hormuz will be traversed according to the established route and with Iran’s permission.”
