Iran warned on Monday that Israeli bombardment of Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahiyeh, won’t be tolerated, with both military and political levels stressing that Lebanon is part of comprehensive ceasefire deal between the Islamic Republic and US.
The spokesperson for Iran’s Armed Forces, Abolfazl Shekarchi, said the Zionist entity, describing it as an aggressor responsible for the killing of children, has exploited the ceasefire to continue its blatant attacks on Lebanese territory, resulting in the deaths of more than 3,000 civilians, including women and children.
He added that Western leaders have either remained silent or openly supported such crimes against humanity.

“We warn the leaders of the leaders of the brutal Zionist entity, along with their allies, that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not tolerate the persistence of such crimes against Lebanon,” Shekarchi warned, as quoted by Iranian media.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed that the ceasefire deal between Iran and the US is a comprehensive ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon.
In a post on X, the top Iranian diplomat warned that the US and ‘Israel’ are responsible for the consequences of any violation.

The ceasefire between Iran and the US is unequivocally a ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
Its violation on one front is a violation of the ceasefire on all fronts.
The US and Israel are responsible for the consequences of any violation.
Earlier on Monday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf affirmed that any final agreement to end the ongoing war remains contingent on a full ceasefire in Lebanon.
Earlier on Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz issued a joint statement threatening to bomb the southern suburbs of Beirut, Dahiyeh, in what appears to be a green light by the Donald Trump Administration.
Since the so-called Lebanon ceasefire took effect on April 17, it was reported that the Israeli enemy has avoided to strike Beirut and Dahiyeh. However, Dahiyeh was struck twice in the last four weeks.
