House Speaker Nabih Berri delivered Monday a speech on the 42nd anniversary the of disappearance of Amal Movement Founder Imam Sayyed Moussa al-Sadr, stressing that the investigations into this case are ongoing and reiterating commitment to seeking the truth.
Speaker Berri highlighted the importance of changing the ruling system in Lebanon, stressing that sectarianism is the main source of calamities and that the civil state would by the suitable solution.
Speaker Berri urged a speedy government formation, pointing out that Lebanon must not waste any more time before carrying out a reform program.
The House Speaker warned against the security incidents that destabilized the country in the recent weeks, highlighting Kaftoun crime and Khaldeh scuffle.
Speaker Berri urged Amal Movement members to prepare for confronting any Israeli aggression on Lebanon along with their Hezbollah brethren, maintaining that falling in the sedition quagmire would serve only the enemy’s schemes.
Speaker Berri called for completing the investigation into Beirut blast, stressing that benefiting from whoever’s expertise in this regard is acceptable as soon as it does not tamper with the national sovereignty.
