Head of Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc, Hajj Mohammad Raad, visited on Thursday Harouf village in southern Lebanon to offer condolences to the family of the soccer star Mohammad Atwi who succumbed to his wounds inflicted by a stray bullet fired into his head in Koula area in Beirut.
MP Raad stressed that the martyrdom of Mohammad Atwi is a national loss, confirming the legal and judicial follow up of the case so that the perpetrators get punished in a way that deters those involved in firing stray bullets which endanger the citizens.
On August 21, a stray bullet penetrated martyr Atwi’s head just before he rode his car in Koula area in Beirut. He was medicated for several weeks at one of Beirut hospitals till he succumbed to his wounds last Friday.
