In light of the meeting at Baabda Palace, the US mediator Amos Hochstein said that he feels optimistic about reaching an imminent agreement on the maritime border demarcation.

It is worth noting that the meeting was attended by President Michel Aoun, House Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati and Deputy Speaker Elias Bou Saab.

For his part, Bou Saab stated, after the meeting, that the dispute gap has be narrowed down, adding that the talks were positive.

Bou Saab noted that the US mediator will get Israel’s final answer within a very short time, adding that Lebanon has rejected to share any gas block with the Israeli enemy.

The major change in the bias stance of the US mediator as well as the Zionist stubbornness is caused by Hezbollah threats to attack all the Israeli oil platform in case of any Zionist attempt to infringe on Lebanon rights.

Hezbollah’s Military Media Department released on Sunday video showing the Israeli platforms operating in the Mediterranean, warning the Zionist enemy of its attempts to plunder Lebanon’s gas and oil fields.

The video showed surveillance scenes taken from land and air, some form yesterday, for Israeli vessels at the Karish field near the Lebanese maritime borders.
