Turkish airstrikes and shelling targeting over 150 ISIL positions and strongholds in Syria’s al-Bab have killed a total of 23 ISIL militants, local media reported Friday, citing a Turkish military statement.
According to the Daily Sabah newspaper, the Turkish army destroyed 154 ISIL targets, including shelters, defense positions, command centers, weapons, and vehicles, in the town of al-Bab.
Additional airstrikes conducted by the Turkish forces also hit 11 ISIL targets, including seven buildings, three headquarters, and one arsenal, the newspaper added.
The Turkish military operation in Syria’s al-Bab has entered the final stage. Turkey’s units entered central Al-Bab, the operation is being conducted in coordination with Russia.
