Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed on Thursday  that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is the world’s biggest anti-terrorist organization.

Imam Khamenei Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received a group of the commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Thursday.

In a meeting with a group of the IRGC commanders, Imam Khamenei said that the formation of the force   at the beginning of the Islamic Revolution was a unique phenomenon among the great revolutions of history.

“After about four decades, we have a huge and fully equipped defense and military center, we have the largest anti-terrorist organization in the world. Today, the IRGC is the largest anti-terrorist organization in the world. It is an equipped military organization. It is an efficient and independent organization that can do things that many great armies in the world can’t do,” his eminence was quoted as saying by Mehr news agency.

Imam Khamenei praised IRGC forces for serving the Iranian nation during the hard times.

“One of the main parts of the enemy’s activities is to tarnish the image of the IRGC and that of Basij [volunteer forces]. Why is that? Because the IRGC is awe-inspiring, Basij is impressive, which makes them (enemies) worried and anxious,” the Leader stated.

Enemies know no way to tarnish the image of the IRGC but through “false news and rumors and all kinds of tricks and ploys,” Imam Khamanei added, as he branded the IRGC elite force as “the world’s biggest anti-terrorism organization.”
