In a series of alarming events, explosions have been reported at US military sites in Iraq and Syria. The first blast occurred near the US Victoria military site, located near Baghdad Airport, on the western outskirts of the Iraqi capital. According to media reports the explosion sent shockwaves throughout the area.
Meanwhile, in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, several powerful explosions rocked the Al-Omar oil field and the gas line connecting the Conoco gas field and the Abu Khashab desert. A local source revealed to Sputnik that two rocket shells targeted the Al-Omar oil field, resulting in two additional explosions.
The timing of these incidents raises concerns, as just yesterday, Jaafar al-Husseini, the military spokesperson for the Iraqi Kataib Hezbollah, announced that the Iraqi Resistance has entered the battlefield with the specific aim of striking US bases. Al-Husseini made it clear that today marked the first successful hits by the Iraqi Resistance, signaling their intention to intensify operations.
Sources linked to the Iraqi Islamic Resistance informed us on Wednesday that they claimed responsibility for multiple operations against US occupation forces in Iraq.
More specifically, they mentioned “operations targeting US occupation forces in Ain al-Assad and Harir in Iraqi Kurdistan.”
