Hezbollah went ahead with non-stop strikes on Israeli border posts in a clear message of solidarity between the resistance groups in Lebanon and Palestine, especially in Gaza, which has been under brutal Israeli aggression for 65 consecutive days.
Sunday’s strikes included a drone attack on an Israeli base in Western Galilee that inflicted losses upon occupation forces, as the Israeli military has acknowledged.
Starting the statements with the holy Quran versus: “Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought because they were wronged, and indeed Allah is capable of granting them victory,” the Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance asserted that the strikes have been “in support of our resilient Palestinian people in Gaza and in solidarity with their courageous and honorable resistance.”
In the first strike, the Islamic Resistance fighters “targeted, at 10:00 am on Sunday, December 10, 2023, Jal Al-Allam site with appropriate weapons, achieving a direct hit,” read a statement released by Hezbollah’s Military Media.
Also at 10:00 am, the Islamic Resistance fighters “launched an aerial attack with assault drones on a newly established command headquarters of the Israeli occupation army in the western sector south of the Ya’ara barracks,” the second statement, obtained by Al-Manar read.
The Israeli occupation Army confirmed the drone attack, acknowledging that several Israeli soldiers were injured in the strike.
Two “soldiers were moderately injured, and a number of additional soldiers were lightly injured from shrapnel and smoke inhalation,” the occupation military said.
Later at 15:00, the Islamic resistance fighters employed Burkan missiles to “target Zibdine and Ruwaisat Al-Alam sites in the hills of Kfar Shuba and the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms,” the Military Media said in the third statement, adding that the attack resulted in direct hits.
The fourth strike took place also at 15:00, during which resistance fighters “targeted a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers between the sites of Zibdine and Al-Ramtha in the occupied Shebaa Farms with appropriate weapons, resulting in direct hits.”
The Islamic Resistance then ramped up the strikes, carrying out three simultaneous attacks at 15:30, targeting a fortified military structure at Al-Abbad site, a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Hounin Castle and Birkat Risha site. The statement affirmed that the strikes caused direct hits and losses upon occupation forces.
The Military Media released the statements along with maps providing coordinates of the targeted Israeli sites.
On the other hand, Al-Manar correspondent in south Lebanon reported continuous Israeli strikes and shelling throughout the day on Sunday to the Lebanese border towns of Blida, Ayta Al-Shaab, Aytaroun, Al-Khiam, Kfar Kila, Yaroun and Rmeish.
