An Israeli businessman, identified as Ziv Kipper, was found dead in Alexandria, Egypt on Tuesday, sparking an investigation by the Israeli Foreign Ministry. Kipper, the CEO of OK Group LLC, a company specializing in exporting frozen fruits and vegetables, reportedly entered Egypt with a Canadian passport.
A group known as Vanguards of Liberation – the group of martyr Mohammad Salah, released a statement on social media claiming responsibility for Kipper’s death. The group referred to Kipper as a “criminal Israeli agent” using his business as a front for espionage activities, including gathering intel and recruiting locals for the Israeli Mossad.
The statement hinted at more information to come, citing accurate intelligence gathered on Kipper. Martyr Mohammad Salah, who carried out an operation against Israeli occupation soldiers in October, was praised by the group in their announcement.
This incident comes just days after an Egyptian police officer killed three Israelis in a shooting operation in Alexandria, further heightening tensions in the region. Israeli officials are working to uncover the truth behind Kipper’s death as more details emerge about the Egyptian group claiming responsibility.
