‘Israel’ has lost “sovereignty” in the northern part of the entity due to the persistent cross-border attacks Hezbollah has launched against the north of occupied Palestine since October, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday.
“People don’t feel safe to go to their homes,” he said during a public interview at the Brookings Institute in Washington. “Absent doing something about the insecurity, people won’t have the confidence to return,” Blinken said.
He spoke as close to 100,000 Israelis from northern border settlements are unable to return home and the areas remain largely deserted.

Hezbollah has engaged in a border battle against the Israeli enemy since the occupation army started its genocidal war on Gaza. The military outposts and the settlements in Galilee and Golan were under rocketry, drone and artillery attacks.
All the Israeli military sites, barracks and bases in the border area have been bombarded, and more than one thousand houses have been destroyed or damaged.
The Zionist cabinet session on Sunday witnessed stormy discussions among the ministers. The Zionist media reported a stormy session during which all the conferees including Netanyahu voiced approval of the agreement to restore calm on the northern borders, except the two extremist ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich who opposed it.
