The Israeli occupation’s genocidal campaign in the Gaza Strip has reached a grim milestone, as the Israeli aggression entered its 415th day. In the latest act of aggression, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, was injured when the facility was deliberately targeted by Israeli occupation forces.

Despite the enemy’s threats, Abu Safiya refused to evacuate the hospital, which was hit by an Israeli drone strike that damaged the oxygen station and sparked fears of a fire. The attack on the medical facility comes amid a broader escalation, with Israeli airstrikes and artillery barrages killing around 40 Palestinians across the coastal enclave since Saturday.

The violence has also sparked a displacement movement from the Shujaiya neighborhood, while the Palestinian resistance has responded with mortar strikes on Israeli command posts. The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that they had bombed enemy forces that had infiltrated the Al-Tawam area north of Gaza City.

The targeting of Kamal Adwan Hospital is part of a broader pattern of attacks on Gaza’s healthcare system. According to the Government Media Office, the Israeli occupation has killed more than 1,000 doctors and nurses and arrested over 310 since the start of the current aggression.
