Israeli aircraft launched a wave of intense aerial strikes across Syria, coinciding with a ground invasion into key towns within the Quneitra countryside and the Daraa governorate.
The overnight aggression targeted critical areas, including Daraa, al-Suweida, and the outskirts of Damascus. Witnesses reported seeing Israeli drones actively surveilling the Quneitra province, while Israeli warplanes executed bombings in the strategic al-Kiswah region and circled over the capital.

Local media noted that at least six loud explosions echoed through the Suweida countryside, signaling the extent of the airstrikes. Israeli media sources claimed that military infrastructure, including weapons caches belonging to the former Syrian regime, were destroyed in the barrage. Furthermore, a Syrian Arab Army camp in the eastern Daraa countryside was reportedly among the targets hit.
Israeli Security Minister Israel Katz confirmed the offensive, stating, “The Israeli Air Force is striking hard in southern Syria,” emphasizing that the government “will not allow Southern Syria to turn into Southern Lebanon.”
Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, Israeli occupation forces have launched an unprecedented military campaign, decimating strategic defenses including cruise missile systems, ballistic missile systems, and air defense mechanisms, alongside significant damage to the Syrian naval fleet and research facilities.
This latest aggression is part of an ongoing ground offensive aimed at securing additional territory, specifically within the strategic Mount Hermon region and other southern provinces. Reports indicate that the current Israeli advance in northern Quneitra and Daraa marks the deepest penetration into Syrian territory since the new regime took power, with objectives focused on complete control of southern Syria.
