Israeli occupation forces have unleashed a wave of destruction and violence across the West Bank, leaving Palestinian communities reeling. Wielding bulldozers and heavy weaponry, Israeli occupation soldiers have stormed through cities and villages, demolishing homes, damaging infrastructure, arresting residents en masse, and inflicting injuries on defenseless civilians.
The city of Hebron bore witness to the callous cruelty of the occupation, as Israeli occupation forces reduced the home of martyr Abdul Qader al-Qawasmi to rubble for the second time this year.

Occupation soldiers swarmed neighborhoods, rounding up families and erecting suffocating checkpoints that brought daily life to a standstill. This demolition was just one of 73 carried out by Israeli authorities in April alone, impacting over 150 structures and displacing nearly 100 families.

Jenin, too, found itself in the crosshairs of Israeli aggression, with heavily armed troops raiding homes and businesses, leaving destruction in their wake. In a horrifying display of excessive force, soldiers shot a 17-year-old boy in the abdomen, leaving him fighting for his life. Israeli military bulldozers tore through streets and infrastructure, while soldiers commandeered homes, transforming them into makeshift military outposts.

From Salfit, where a kindergarten was viciously ransacked, to Kafr ad-Dik and Burqin, where villagers have been trapped under siege for days, unable to access critical medical care, the West Bank is being strangled by the occupation’s iron grip. In city after city – Ramallah, Nablus, Jericho, Bethlehem – night raids, arbitrary arrests, property destruction, and land theft have become the devastating norm.

These developments on the ground occur amid the absence of any real political horizon and the occupation’s continued imposition of policies of repression and abuse, which portends further escalation and deterioration of the security and humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
