The Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Khama Yar, visited on Thursday the Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Beshara Boutros Al-Rai, in Bkirki, felicitating him on the occasion of Christmas and New Year.
The Iranian official pointed out that his visit is one of the visits that he is scheduled to pay to the various Lebanese parties, adding that Lebanon can be a beautiful sample of coexistence among its diverse segments.
Khama Yar also condoled Patriarch Rai over the loss of the victims of Beirut blast, informing him about the Iranian aids to the Lebanese people affected by the explosion.
The Iranian official discussed with Patriarch Rai the social effects of the coronavirus pandemic amid the unfair US sanctions on the Islamic Republic, re-inviting him to visit Iran in order to inspect the conditions of the Christians there after the decline of the coronavirus pandemic.
