For 649 consecutive days, the Israeli occupation’s war on Gaza has persisted, characterized by what is described as a campaign of extermination. Massacres continue to unfold in full view of the world, supported by the United States and met with international silence. The targeting of vulnerable civilians – including children, women, the displaced, the starving, and those awaiting humanitarian aid – remains relentless amid a tight siege that has now stretched for more than four months.

The severe siege has brought Gaza’s healthcare system to the brink. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, confirmed the hospital has suspended public services and is just hours away from ceasing operations entirely due to a critical fuel shortage. Similarly, Al-Helou Hospital reports less than four hours of fuel remaining, threatening its ability to function.

The human toll continues to mount, with devastating impacts on the most vulnerable. A 14-day-old infant was tragically killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in Gaza City’s Al-Zeitoun neighborhood. Ambulance crews at the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital also announced the recovery of the body of 6-year-old Osama Naseem Majed Abu Daqqa, a child victim of an Israeli aircraft targeting tents of displaced persons in the Tiberias camp in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.

Displaced persons, already seeking refuge, have been repeatedly targeted. The Civil Defense in Rafah reported transporting a number of wounded after Israeli warplanes struck tents sheltering displaced people in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.
At dawn on Wednesday, further Israeli airstrikes killed and injured citizens in tents housing displaced persons near the Tiberias station and Al-Aqsa University in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis.

Beyond airstrikes, various forms of aggression were reported across the Strip. The Mawasi area of Rafah city, south of Gaza Strip, was subjected to artillery shelling. The Israeli occupation forces also detonated booby-trapped robots in and around the al-Katiba area north of Khan Yunis, and destroyed residential homes in the center of Khan Yunis. Israeli artillery also targeted the area around al-Nadim Street in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
