The US Senator Christ Murphy said that Hezbollah is circulating a very effective narrative about the US blockade of the fuel and energy resources into Lebanon, adding that the Party’s narrative is pervasive.
During the Foreign Relations Committee session on September 15, Murphy considered that the United States must move quickly and creatively to address the fuel crisis in Lebanon.
On September 4, Murphy headed a US delegation into Lebanon, underestimating the oil crisis caused by the American siege imposed on the country.
In this context, Senator Richard Blumenthal described Hezbollah as a cancer that must be eradicated.
In response to journalists’ questions about the Iranian oil ship, the delegation alleged that “there is no need for Lebanon to depend on Iranian fuel, and the US is actively working to solve the fuel crisis in Lebanon.”
Hezbollah had decided to break the US siege on Lebanon and import Iranian fuel oil. The first diesel ship arrived from Iran in Syria’s Banyas seaport last Sunday and its cargo was trucked into Lebanon on Thursday.
