Head of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad stressed on Sunday that the party is running for elections in a bid to foil schemes aimed at toppling achievements secured by the Resistance.
In a local ceremony in a town near the southern city of Nabatieh, MP Raad said the parliamentary vote “is more than a must and a need in the country,” noting that “those who propagate for delaying the elections are dragging the country into more chaos.”
“It’s not a matter of Parliamentarian seats that we are gaining, it’s a matter of battle against those who want to impoverish and starve our people and to destabilize our country,” MP Raad said in remarks carried by Al-Manar.
“The battle is harsh and we shall triumph in order to foil this hostile scheme aimed at threatening our existence, sovereignty and dignity,” the Hezbollah lawmaker said.
“Such scheme is aimed at toppling achievements secured by the Resistance, its martyrs and fighters throughout 30 years.”
