Palestinian Resistance factions hailed on Wednesday the heroic operation in the West Bank village of Al-Jalmah, stressing that all acts of resistance against the Israeli enemy will go ahead until the full liberation of Palestine.
Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds Brigades said the operation proves that the settlement of the enemy in Palestine is impossible.
“Our heroes display an epic scene on daily basis through their bullets, stressing that the battlefield and the fate of Palestinians in one and that the fighting will be on everything as long as the enemy and its settlers reside in our territory,” the Islamic Jihad’s military wing said in a statement carried by Palestine Today.
An Israeli officer was killed when two Palestinian fighters open fire in the village of Al-Jalma near the West Bank city of Jenin early on Wednesday.
The two Palestinian fighters, Ahmed Abed and Abdul Rahman Abed, were martyred during the operation, Palestinians and Israeli media reported.
The pair, from the village of Kafr Dan near Jenin, were armed with a Carlo makeshift submachine gun and another semi-automatic weapon, the Times of Israel reported.
For his part, Hamas spokesman Abdullatif Al-Qanou said the operation was the starting point of the escalating resistance acts in retaliation of the Israeli oppressive measures in Al-Aqsa, Al-Quds and across the west Bank.
“Palestine is not a safe place anymore for the Israeli soldiers and settlers, this is the clear message behind Al-Jalma operation,” Al-Qanou said, according to Palestine Today.
Meanwhile, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine praised the two martyrs, stressing that the resistance is deeply rooted in the mind of Palestinians people.
“The operation confirms that the blood of oppressed Palestinian martyrs won’t go in vain,” the Palestinian resistance group said in a statement.
